This notice explains how Bloom Events Cape Town handles personal information collected through this website, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible
Tyler Jayne Millingham, trading as Bloom Events Cape Town, is its founder, the responsible party and the information officer. Contact: tyler@bloomeventscpt.co.za, Sunningdale, Cape Town, 7441.
What this website collects
This website has no forms and no sign-ups. The only personal information it collects is through Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to record:
- the pages you visit and how long you stay;
- which links you tap, such as ticket, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and email links;
- your device type, browser, screen size and the site that sent you here;
- your approximate location (city or region), worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Why
To understand which events and pages people are interested in, and to improve the site. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who else sees it
Google LLC processes analytics data on our behalf, on servers that may be outside South Africa. Google applies its own safeguards under its data processing terms. Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months, then deleted automatically.
Links to other services
Ticket links (Sociable and Quicket), the WhatsApp community, Instagram, TikTok and email open other services. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies apply, not this one.
Your choices and rights
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.
- Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing tyler@bloomeventscpt.co.za.
- You may object to the processing of your information, and you may complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za, email enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, phone 010 023 5200 or toll free 0800 017 160, or write to Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Dr, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.
